There is a march in London on Sunday, and also a gathering and march in St Albans – to show support for ambitious climate action – before the Global Climate Change talks in Paris next week.
St Albans Climate March
Sunday 29th November 12 noon to leave 12:30
Meet: St Albans Cathedral – west door
Organised by St Albans Friends of the Earth, Global Justice Now, Transition St Albans, with the support of the Cathedral.
What is it about?
Just before world leaders meet for major climate change negotiations at a global summit in Paris, people around the world are marching to show how much public support there is for ambitious climate action.
As circumstances in Paris have made it impossible to plan rallies on the streets of Paris, some people may prefer to focus on local marches. There is also a planned large march and rally in London on Sunday 29th, click here for details..but this local march is for those who prefer to stay local.
Meet on the grass near the West Door to St Albans Cathedral. The plan is for a short march in Verulamium Park.
This will be a family friendly event, and has been organised by St Albans FoE, Transition St Albans with the support of the Cathedral. If you belong to a group, please bring your own banner or placard.
