Getting started on Food Growing this week

Getting Started this week on Food Growing in Your Garden or small space

Skills Sharing for Food Growing 2014  starts this week: You are invited to come along if you are a beginner, and want ideas on how to start growing, or if you are a more experienced gardener who would enjoy sharing ideas and advice on growing. The session is friendly and informal, and you can come along on your own, or bring a friend.

Saturday April 12th at 2.30pm at  23 Gresford Close, St Albans, AL4 OUB, off Hatfield Road.  No need to book. Put the date and time in your diary now!

The session starts at 2.30pm and lasts around one hour.  You dont need to bring anything: please just turn up for 2.30pm.

During this time this week’s Food Gardener – June – will show you around the features of her small, town garden. She will share tips and ideas for growing seeds and preparing your space for vegetable and fruit growing over the summer.

In 2012 June’s garden was awarded best Sustainable Garden in St Albans District in Bloom competition and June went on to be a judge for this competition in 2013.
