The St Albans Oxfam Group is sending TSA members and supporters a warm invitation to join them for a Social Evening on Friday March 26th at St Bart’s RC Church Hall, Vesta Avenue, St Albans AL1 2PE (off Watling Street) at 7.15pm — for a 7.30pm start.
Light refreshments will be on offer before a presentation from two Oxfam House staff who have recently visited projects in Zambia – including the education project supported by Oxfam St Albans through the Herts Hike last year. Thanks to everyone’s input over £6,600 was raised towards Oxfam’s work in Zambia.
It will also be an opportunity to hear about the 2010 Herts Hike and the proposed new route!
This year’s Herts Hike will be on Saturday 25th September 2010 and the money raised will go to Oxfam work in Bolivia training people in ancient farming methods to help them cope with the flooding caused by climate change.
Please feel free to bring family and friends.
RSVP to Val Langford on 01727 893 269 or by e-mail.
